(FREEPORT, N.Y.) – In observance of International Human Rights Day on Wednesday, Dec. 10, Nassau County Legislature Alternate Deputy Minority Leader Debra Mulé (D – Freeport) spoke to Freeport High School students about the importance of civic engagement and social involvement at all of the levels of government that serve the community of Freeport. “At every stop of my personal journey – as a social worker, PTA mom, School Board member, Village Trustee and Legislator – advocating for human dignity has been central to every one of my roles in public service,” Alternate Deputy Minority Leader Mulé said. “It was a pleasure to speak to this engaged group of students, and I hope that I demonstrated the essential value of advocating for oneself and their community.”
