(FREEPORT, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislature Alternate Deputy Minority Leader Debra Mulé (D – Freeport) is partnering with Village of Freeport Mayor Robert Kennedy, the Freeport Police and Fire Departments, and an array of businesses, not-for-profit agencies, and community stakeholders to host National Night Out 2026 at Freeport’s Northeast Park (Bishop White Memorial Park) on Tuesday, Aug. 4.
For more than 40 years, thousands of communities have hosted National Night Out events on the first Tuesday in August to promote “police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live.” National Night Out enhances relationships between law enforcement and communities by bringing police and residents together in a fun and welcoming atmosphere.
“As someone who raised her children in Freeport and been active in the community for many years, I am thrilled that National Night Out has become a cherished tradition that strengthens connections and forges authentic partnerships with the local first responders that keep us safe,” Alternate Deputy Minority Leader Mulé said. “It is wonderful to once again be working with our local partners in law enforcement, government and the community to bring National Night Out to Freeport, and I hope you’ll be a part of it!”
