Legislators Mulé & Davis Join Government Colleagues, Community Partners to Host ‘National Night Out’

WHAT: Nassau County Legislature Alternate Deputy Minority Leader Debra Mulé (D - Freeport) and Legislator Scott M. Davis (D – Rockville Centre) are joining forces with their colleagues in government and community organizations to host National Night Out at Baldwin Senior High School in partnership with the Baldwin Civic Association, the Nassau County Police Department, Baldwin Fire Department and an array of community stakeholders on Tuesday, Aug. 4.

For more than four decades, National Night Out events have been held in thousands of communities each year on the first Tuesday in August to promote “police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live.” National Night Out enhances relationships between law enforcement and communities by bringing police and residents together in a fun and welcoming atmosphere.

“In communities like Baldwin all across America, National Night Out has become a cherished tradition that strengthens connections and forges authentic partnerships with the local first responders who keep us safe,” Alternate Deputy Minority Leader Mulé said. “It is wonderful to be working with Legislator Davis and partners like the Nassau County Police Department, Baldwin Fire Department and Baldwin Civic Association to once again bring National Night Out to Baldwin High School!”

“Thanks to the hard work of so many community partners, National Night Out is an evening where families from coast to coast have fun and meet the local law enforcement, first responders, and civic organizations that serve and strengthen our communities,” Legislator Davis said. “I look forward to an outstanding event at Baldwin High School and encourage you to join us in supporting this great American tradition.”
