
(OCEANSIDE, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislature Alternate Deputy Minority Leader Debra Mulé (D – Freeport) joined with local families and an array of government colleagues at the Oceanside Library on Sunday, March 1 for their annual Dr. Seuss & Friends Day, Cosponsored by the Oceanside Kiwanis Club, the event came one day before Read Across America “Dr. Seuss Day,” which marks the anniversary of the birth of the legendary children’s author.
“There is no better way to honor the legacy of Dr. Seuss than by nurturing a community’s love for reading – and that is exactly what Dr. Seuss and Friends Day accomplished in Oceanside and across Nassau County,” Alternate Deputy Minority Leader Mulé said. “Thank you to everyone at the Library and Oceanside Kiwanis for spearheading this event each year and inviting me to be a part of it!”
