(FREEPORT, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislature Alternate Deputy Minority Leader Debra Mulé (D – Freeport) proudly joined the South Shore Guidance Center at Freeport’s Cow Meadow Park on Saturday, May 16 for the organization’s annual Spring Fling Dog Walk. The event was filled with games, face painting and raffles (as well as plenty of adorable four-legged friends!) in support of mental wellness initiatives.
“Far too often, many of us take for granted how intuitive animals are and the profound mental health benefits they bring to us, especially at difficult times in our lives,” Alternate Deputy Minority Leader Mulé said. “I am thrilled that this event has been getting an emphatic ‘two paws up’ from our community for the last 10 years, and I congratulate my friends at the South Shore Guidance Center for a job well done!”
