(BALDWIN, N.Y.) - Nassau County Legislature Alternate Deputy Minority Leader Debra Mulé (D – Freeport) partnered with the Baldwin Public Library to host a job readiness workshop on Thursday, April 23. The workshop helped participants build a path to employment, provided resume and interview support, connected individuals with workforce training and fair-chance employers, and connected them with legal, counseling, nutrition and family support resources. The event was organized by Alternate Deputy Minority Leader Mulé’s intern, LIU Post MSW student Raegen Cromwell.
“Employment opportunities are a pathway to long-term stability, especially for those of our neighbors who are navigating challenges,” Alternate Deputy Minority Leader Mulé said. “I am so thankful to Raegen for bringing this event to life, and I thank Maria Arianas of Island Harvest, Robert Scanlon from Legal Services of Long Island, and Grant Newberger of the Long Island Federation of Labor for sharing their expertise during this event.”
