(ROCKVILLE CENTRE, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislature Alternate Deputy Minority Leader Debra Mulé (D – Freeport) joined Mercy Hospital on Tuesday, Sept. 15 for the kickoff of “Pinktember”. Catholic Health’s system-wide initiative brought together survivors, patients, caregivers, and hospital employees for a day centered around support, community, and awareness.
“Across Long Island and right here in Nassau County, far too many families continue to be impacted by breast cancer, and it is initiatives like Pinktember that generate the awareness that leads to life-saving early detection,” Alternate Deputy Minority Leader Mulé said. “I thank Catholic Health for their leadership on this cause and was thankful to see how the community embraced this program.”
