(FREEPORT, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislator Alternate Deputy Minority Leader Debra Mulé (D – Freeport) partnered with the Office of Nassau County District Attorney Anne T. Donnelly to host a senior scam prevention workshop at Freeport’s Salvation Army Senior Center on Tuesday, May 19. More than 100 seniors attended the workshop, where experts from the DA’s office provided community members with valuable guidance for protecting themselves from becoming victims of criminals who seek to exploit them.
“Vigilance is crucial when it comes to fighting back against the criminals who seek to steal from our seniors – and these workshops are a great tool for stopping these predators in their tracks,” Alternate Deputy Minority Leader Mulé said. “It is always wonderful to see so many people availing themselves of these workshops, and I thank the District Attorney’s office for partnering with us and the Salvation Army for hosting us.”
