
(FREEPORT, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislature Alternate Deputy Minority Leader Debra Mulé (D – Freeport) joined members and allies of Nassau County’s LGBTQ+ community What’s 4 Dessert on Thursday, Sept 24 for Freeport Pride’s inaugural Sober Social. “Since its inception, Freeport Pride has led the way on efforts to create inclusive and welcoming spaces, and the success of their Sober Social is a wonderful reflection of their mission,” Alternate Deputy Minority Leader Mulé said. “As a social worker, I know the importance of supportive and sober spaces for people in recovery, and I hope this will be the first of many sober-friendly events geared toward Freeport’s LGBTQ+ community and allies like myself.”
