(FREEPORT, N.Y.) – In observance of Earth Day on April 22, Nassau County Legislature Alternate Deputy Minority Leader Debra Mulé (D – Freeport) joined members of the Freeport High School Environmental Justice Club and Operation SPLASH at their cleanup of Milburn Park Pond.
“Milburn Park Pond is one of Freeport’s natural treasures, and given its close proximity to the high school, it was the perfect place for students to roll up their sleeves on Earth Day,” Alternate Deputy Minority Leader Mulé said. “It was wonderful to see how these students banded together and made a difference in their community, and I thank Operation SPLASH for providing them with key support to further elevate their efforts.”
