
(OCEANSIDE, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislature Alternate Deputy Minority Leader Debra Mulé (D – Freeport) recently joined Mount Sinai South Nassau for their annual brunch recognizing standout volunteers at the hospital. During the event, Alternate Deputy Minority Leader Mulé honored 2026 Shining Star Award recipient Teresa Emmel, and Five-Star Award honorees John Carey, Terese Olson, and Felicia Gearhart.
“The volunteers at Mount Sinai South Nassau and hospitals across Nassau County are instrumental in the daily work of delivering stellar care that is grounded in the values of compassion and kindness,” Alternate Deputy Minority Leader Mulé said. “It was a pleasure to be a part of this celebration, and I applaud the honorees for their dedication and commitment to excellence.”
