(ROOSEVELT, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislature Alternate Deputy Minority Leader Debra Mulé (D – Freeport) and Legislator Scott M. Davis (D – Rockville Centre) joined the Roosevelt community on Saturday, June 12 at the third annual Uzo Felix Health Foundation’s Prostate Cancer health fair outside Western Beef. The event featured on-site testing and hosted various health and wellness vendors, a screening van, and other amenities.
“Promoting prostate health awareness is vitally important in our efforts to preserve and enhance men’s health initiatives across Nassau County,” Alternate Deputy Minority Leader Mulé said. “I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to all the organizers for their unwavering dedication to this cause, as well as to everyone who work so hard to make this event a success year after year!”
“For a condition like prostate cancer – which is highly treatable when detected early – events like this community fair are essential vessels for raising awareness and connecting men with health resources,” Legislator Davis said. “I applaud the organizers for their tireless efforts and encourage everyone who is overdue for an exam to schedule their appointment today.”
