Held at the Baldwin LIRR station as part of the Cedarmore Corporation’s summer farmer’s market, the event featured author readings, community vendors, cuisine from local food trucks, children’s performances and farm-fresh produce from the Cedarmore farmer’s market.
The event featured “Sunne’s Gift” author Ama K. Karikari; “The Kingdom of Hayti” author Maudelyne Maxineau-Gedeon, talent from the New York Musicians Center and the All-Star Dance Studio, and more.
“Nassau County’s rich diversity is something to celebrate and cherish, and events like the Long Island Multicultural Book Fair and Children’s Talent Contest do so much to cultivate our appreciation for what makes our communities so unique and special,” Alternate Deputy Minority Leader Mulé said. “I’m thrilled that this event continues to thrive and grow, and I thank Milestales for spearheading this important forum for literature and the arts.”
