(BALDWIN, N.Y.) - Nassau County Legislature Alternate Deputy Minority Leader Debra Mulé (D - Freeport) partnered with New York State Assemblymember Judy Griffin, the Baldwin Chamber of Commerce, the Baldwin Civic Association and Town of Hempstead Sanitary District No. 2 to host a community cleanup at Lofts Pond in Baldwin on Saturday, Sept. 6. The event attracted dozens of volunteers who put their green thumbs to good use by clearing trash and debris as they gave the pond and its surroundings some seasonal TLC.
“The annual clean-up of Lofts Pond was a tremendous success, and it was wonderful to see so many young Baldwin residents coming together and giving back to their community on a Saturday morning,” Alternate Deputy Minority Leader Mulé said. “It’s always a pleasure to work with Assemblymember Griffin on such worthwhile endeavors, and I thank everyone who came down and rolled up their sleeves!”
