(ROOSEVELT, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislature Alternate Deputy Minority Leader Debra Mulé (D – Freeport) applauded the Monday, July 14 approval of a new contract with Roosevelt-based Choice for All that will fund academic services and tutoring for 125 youth this year.
The one-year contract – which includes an option for a two-year extension – encompasses year-round academic services and tutoring in small group or individual sessions with assigned staff, education consultants and volunteer tutors drawn from a volunteer bank of honor students and teachers, including retired educators and those certified in special education and TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages).
“Choice For All continues to distinguish itself through its tireless efforts to ensure that educational, health, economic and leadership resources are available and accessible to families across Nassau County,” Alternate Deputy Minority Leader Mulé said. “I am thrilled that the Rules Committee unanimously approved this contract, and I know that Jacob Dixon and his team will work diligently with these funds to create new and exciting opportunities that will help our children thrive.”
