(ROCKVILLE CENTRE, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislator Scott M. Davis (D – Rockville Centre) proudly joined the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Center for the 25th annual West End Community Day on Saturday, Aug. 22. – an end-of-summer celebration featuring vendors, bouncy houses, slides, face painting, live entertainment community resources, giveaways and more.
“For a quarter of a century, the West End Community Day has been bringing our community to enjoy the end of summer and celebrate the start of a new school in Rockville Centre,” Legislator Davis said. “It’s always great fun to be a part of the West End Community Day, and I thank Patrick Morris and the entire team at the MLK Community Center for working so hard to make this milestone event such a wonderful occasion.”
Legislator Davis currently serves as Vice President of the RVC Friends of MLK, a not-for-profit organization which is dedicated to supporting and growing youth, adult, senior, and community programming for Rockville Centre’s Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Center. Since opening in 1971, the Center has developed a schedule of academic, social, and support programs for youth, teens, adults, seniors, and the greater community.
