(HEMPSTEAD, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislator Scott M. Davis (D – Rockville Centre) congratulated Nahum J. Horton as he unveiled his Eagle Scout project – a Naeem Justice, Inc. Health Resource Kiosk at Hempstead Village’s Kennedy Memorial Park – on Wednesday, Aug. 12.
The mission of Naeem Justice Inc. is focused on preventing sickle cell related hospitalizations and deaths by providing education, advocacy, and compassionate support to individuals and families. Initiatives are centered on the delivery of accessible health education, culturally grounded resources, and youth empowerment programs that foster resilience, health equity, and lifelong wellness.
“Nahum learned about the importance of this type of resource through his and his family’s experiences, and his commitment to giving back and helping others embodies the true spirit of Scouting and how it uplifts our communities,” Legislator Davis said. “I congratulate him on all of his hard work and join my colleagues in thanking him for delivering these vital resources to the greater Hempstead community.”
