(HEMPSTEAD, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislator Scott M. Davis (D – Rockville Centre) visited Hofstra University on Tuesday, Sept. 1 for their annual Good Neighbor Meet and Greet. The event brings together elected officials, civic organizations, local fire departments, police departments, and Hofstra students who live in the surrounding neighborhoods at the start of each fall semester.
“Open communication is one of the key building blocks of strong academic communities, and each of us has a role to play in fostering at atmosphere that is conducive to cooperation,” Legislator Davis said. “I was glad to join my colleagues at Hofstra for this forum, and I look forward to working with the University community as the academic year continues.”
