(HEMPSTEAD, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislator Scott M. Davis (D – Rockville Centre) joined the Hempstead community at Anthem BlueCross BlueShield’s Hempstead office on Wednesday, Aug. 19 for a back-to-school celebration. During the event, Anthem and their community partners highlighted the importance of health screenings, wellness resources, and family engagement as critical components of academic success.
“Succes in the classroom is about so much more than just test scores and homework, and by providing essential health and wellness resources to our community, Anthem is doing a great deal to help families thrive throughout the year,” Legislator Davis said. “I thank them for hosting this most recent back-to-school event at their community service center and wish everyone a wonderful school year ahead!”
