(ROCKVILLE CENTRE, N.Y.) - Nassau County Legislator Scott M. Davis (D – Rockville Centre) partnered with Northwell Health’s Long Island Jewish Valley Stream Hospital to provide free flu shots for seniors at the Rockville Centre Public Library on Thursday, Sept. 10. During the walk-up clinic, Legislator Davis received his own flu shot for the season.
Legislator Davis and Northwell Health announced that they will be bringing the mobile clinic’s services to the Baldwin Public Library, 2385 Grand Ave., Baldwin, N.Y. 11510 from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 7. Like the Rockville Centre event, no appointments are required.
“Flu shots are an essential tool for protecting ourselves from illness during the winter months, and the benefits are particularly significant for Nassau County’s senior citizens,” Legislator Davis said. “I’m glad that I had the opportunity to roll up my sleevesand get my shot during this event, and I encourage anyone who wants this vaccine to visit us in Baldwin so that you can receive it conveniently and at no charge.”
