[ARCHIVED] Legislators Mulé and Koslow, Mayor Kennedy, Community Partners Present Freeport National Night Out

(FREEPORT, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislature Alternate Deputy Minority Leader Debra Mulé (D – Freeport) and Legislator Seth I. Koslow (D – Merrick) are partnering with Village of Freeport Mayor Robert Kennedy, the Freeport Police and Fire Departments, and an array of businesses, not-for-profit agencies, and community stakeholders to host National Night Out 2025 at Freeport’s Northeast Park (Bishop White Memorial Park) on Tuesday, Aug. 5.

For more than 40 years, thousands of communities have hosted National Night Out events on the first Tuesday in August as part of a crime prevention and awareness initiative that seeks to promote “police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live.” National Night Out enhances relationships between law enforcement and communities by bringing police and residents together in a fun and welcoming atmosphere.

“National Night Out is a cherished American tradition that brings communities together with the law enforcement professionals that serve and protect them on a daily basis,” Legislator Koslow said. “I’m proud to be once again working with my partners in government and local leaders to present a family-friendly celebration that has something for everyone in the Freeport community to enjoy.”

“As someone who raised her children in Freeport and been active in the community for many years, I know how important it is to build bridges between our youth and the men and women of law enforcement– and events like Freeport’s National Night Out provide an ideal venue for achieving that goal,” Alternate Deputy Minority Leader Mulé said. “I’m thrilled to be working with Legislator Koslow and our community and government partners to host another memorable celebration for our community!”
