Nassau County Legislator Bill Gaylor joined with Village of Valley Stream Mayor Edwin Fare, Trustees Sean Wright and John Tufarelli, former Village Justice and current County Court Judge Bob Bogle, and members of the Valley Stream community, to host a food and mask drive for senior citizens and veterans at Arthur J. Hendrickson Park and Pool in Valley Stream on May 9th. Over 100 residents took part in the drive and donated more than 3,500 masks and hundreds of pounds of non-perishable food items.
“I am in awe of the way our community has banded together to help our neighbors in need,” Legislator Gaylor said. “Thank you to everyone who came out to donate and help make sure no one goes hungry during this COVID-19 outbreak.”
