Local residents grabbing breakfast and their morning java were greeted by Nassau County Legislator Bill Gaylor (far right) who recently handed out hundreds of free masks outside Malverne Bagels on Hempstead Avenue.
“Wearing a mask remains one of the most important preventive measures to help protect us from exposure to the COVID-19 virus” Gaylor said. “It was nice spending the morning in the Malverne community giving away masks and getting a chance for some meaningful dialogue while practicing safe social distancing. There was definitely an air of optimism that the worst of the pandemic is behind us and better days lie ahead.”
Joining Legislator Gaylor in helping to distribute masks were Village of Malverne Trustee Timothy Sullivan and Malverne Chamber of Commerce President Kathi Monroe.
