(ROOSEVELT, N.Y.) - Nassau County Legislator Scott M. Davis (D – Rockville Centre) presented a $40,129.52 Community Revitalization Project (CRP) grant to the Roosevelt Union Free School District on Monday, Sept. 14. The funds, which were approved by the full Legislature on July 27, will be applied toward the installation of a high-resolution outdoor marquee at the Washington Rose Elementary School, which will replace an outdated model that is no longer functioning.
“Our neighbors look to Nassau County’s schools as multifaceted community hubs, and through the CRP grant initiative, we have the opportunity to strengthen partnerships and fulfill the needs of the people we serve,” Legislator Davis said. “I am happy to see that these funds will be put to good use by the Roosevelt School District as they install cutting-edge technology that will strengthen community engagement and awareness at the Washington Rose Elementary School.”
