(HEMPSTEAD, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislator Scott M. Davis (D – Rockville Centre) returned to his alma mater on Saturday, Oct. 17 when he joined the community and his colleagues in government for Hempstead High School’s homecoming parade and game. The festivities were heightened by the arrival of New York State Governor Kathy Hochul, who did the coin toss to kick off the game against Plainview-Old Bethpage.
“I never expected I would have the chance to welcome Governor Hochul to my alma mater, and her visit was a wonderful way to cap off a daylong celebration of Hempstead’s Tiger spirit,” Legislator Davis said. “From the parade to the homecoming celebration, thank you to everyone for working so hard to make this such a special day!"
