(ROCKVILLE CENTRE, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislator Scott M. Davis (D – Rockville Centre) joined the community and his colleagues in government at the Rockville Centre Fire Department’s annual Department Memorial Service and breakfast on Sunday, Oct. 18. Held at the Memorial Park adjacent to the Reliance Hose Company headquarters, the service pays tribute to all who lost their lives while in service to the community.
“Each day, the men and women of Nassau County’s volunteer fire departments rush toward tremendous danger to serve and protect their neighbor, and we must never forget those who made the ultimate sacrifice while engaged in this courageous and noble pursuit,” Legislator Davis said. “It was a privilege to be a part of this dignified and moving observance, and I thank the Rockville Centre Fire Department for working so diligently to organize it.”
