(ROCKVILLE CENTRE, N.Y.) – Rockville Centre’s community spirit was on full display on Saturday, Sept. 19, and Nassau County Legislator Scott M. Davis (D – Rockville Centre) spent much of the day immersed in the festivities.
The day began as the community commemorated the South Side High School Cyclones’ 100th varsity season with a homecoming victory. Later in the day, Legislator Davis helped kick off the Village’s annual “Playing on the Porch” community music festival from the front “porch” of Molloy University President Dr. James Lentini.
“Mother Nature could not have set a more perfect scene for Homecoming Saturday than what we enjoyed this weekend – and the community’s appreciation was on full display throughout our triumphant gridiron victory and the live music that filled the streets,” Legislator Davis said. “It is always wonderful to see Rockville Centre brimming with the energy that makes it such a great place to live, work, and raise our families.”
