(ROCKVILLE CENTRE, N.Y.) - Nassau County Legislator Scott M. Davis (D - Rockville Centre) partnered with the Incorporated Village of Rockville Centre and Terry Animal Hospital to host the Village’s second annual Dog Meet-Up and Parade on Saturday, Oct. 10.
Dozens of canines and their human companions took part in festivities that included free giveaways, raffles, and prizes for best costumes. Volunteers from Posh Pets Rescue in Log Beach collected donations of sheets and towels in support of their work. Potato Chip – one of the dogs up for adoption at Posh Pets – was most a‘peel’ing in their banana costume, meeting revelers in hopes of finding her perfect forever home.
“No matter your age, your background, or your politics, loving and caring for animals brings communities together and enriches our lives,” Legislator Davis said. “I am thrilled to see how Rockville Centre is continuing to embrace this celebration of our four-legged friends, and I know that Posh Pets Rescue will benefit greatly from the generosity displayed by the participants of this event.”
