(HEMPSTEAD, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislator Scott M. Davis (D – Rockville Centre) joined the Hempstead Chamber of Commerce at the Hempstead Public Library on Friday, March 7 to celebrate the Chamber’s donation of historic artifacts to the Library’s collections. “Through its commitment to economic development and the history of the community it serves, the Hempstead Chamber of Commerce sets an outstanding example for all of us as community leaders,” Legislator Davis said. “The dedicated work of Chamber President LaShawn Lukes, the Hempstead Chamber’s board and the team at the Hempstead Public Library allows all of us to better learn from the past and draw inspiration for our shared future, and I was honored to be a part of this momentous occasion.”
