(ROCKVILLE CENTRE, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislator Scott M. Davis (D – Rockville Centre) joined officials and community members on Wednesday, March 19 for the unveiling of a new speed awareness device at North Centre Street in Rockville Centre. The installation of the traffic safety tool came with support and advocacy from Legislator Davis, community residents and Village leaders.
“North Centre is a very busy road in the heart of Rockville Centre, and far too many drivers ignore the village speed limit, creating a very dangerous condition for everyone,” Legislator Davis. “Commissioner Dodd heard the concerns of the residents loud and clear – and his ‘can-do’ approach made the installation of this speed indicator a reality. This is a great example of good government in action, and I thank the Village administration and concerned citizens for working together to make our village safer.”
