(MINEOLA, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislator Scott M. Davis (D – Rockville Centre) welcomed the young leaders from Rockville Centre’s Girl Scouts Troop 821 to the Theodore Roosevelt Executive & Legislative Building on Friday, May 12. Legislator Davis led the Scouts on a tour of the building, which included visits to his legislative office and a conversation about civics and community involvement in the Peter J. Schmitt Memorial Legislative Chamber.
“For generations, the Girl Scouts have instilled a spirit of self-reliance, ingenuity and entrepreneurship in the young women that will lead our community into the future,” Legislator Davis said. “Their embrace of these values was apparent in our conversations during this tour, and it was my pleasure to welcome Troop 821 to the Nassau County Legislature!”
