
(ROCKVILLE CENTRE, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislator Scott M. Davis (D – Rockville Centre) proudly joined the leaders, members and supporters of the Rockville Centre Fired Department and his colleagues in government on Sunday, June 1 for the Department’s annual installation and inspection ceremony.
During the event, Legislator Davis congratulated outgoing Chief Scott Mohr for a job well done at the helm of the department, honored Honorary Chief Francis X. Murray, Ex-Chief Gary Kondor, Ex-Chief Peter Stuyvesant, Ex-Chief John Thorp III and ex-Captain Jeffrey Greenfield for 50 years of service to the Rockville Centre community and thanked Ex-Captain John Griffin, Ex-Captain John Lamonica, Christopher DeGray, and Brian Remppelf for 25 years of service.
“For generations, the men and women of the Rockville Centre Fire Department have answered the call of duty to protect their community, embodying the spirit of selfless service as they rush toward danger at a moment’s notice,” Legislator Davis said. “We are forever indebted to them for their steadfast commitment to helping others, and I was thankful for the opportunity to personally congratulate them during this weekend’s installation ceremonies.”
